Bogus cold callers - Crediton

Police have received several reports of a bogus cold callers calling at addresses in Crediton on the 23rd and 24th October, the males purported to be working at a neighbouring properties and said they have noticed work needs doing at the property.
Please be vigilant and wary of all cold callers, if unsure ask for them to return once you have asked a family member before allowing them into your home and/or making any payment.

If in doubt, keep them out. Ask them to make an appointment or come back later when someone else is around. Genuine callers won’t mind. If you are suspicious, report the incident to the police. 
Do not open the door if you are uncomfortable doing so. A door chain allows you to open the door enough for you to see who is calling before shutting the door if necessary.
